Non-Practicing Membership

We have received a number of queries asking if we have a membership option for massage therapist who are not currently practicing.

We have created a new membership type - Non-Practicing Registered Massage Therapist (NPRMT).

The annual subscription fee is $97.50.
A practicing certificate will not be issued.
A vaccine pass is not required to obtain this type of membership
Non-practicing members will not appear on the 'Find a Therapist' search on the MNZ website.
At any time during the membership year, non-practicing members can switch to practicing membership (RMT). An additional fee of $97.50 will be required for the change from non-practicing to practicing.
If changing to RMT status a vaccine pass will be required, as well as an up-to-date 1st aid certificate.
NPRMTs will be required to complete a minimum of 10 hours of CPD per year of the 2 year cycle. If the NPRMT switches back to RMT during that cycle then the CPD hours required would be adjusted per pro-rata.
